O Ministério das Relações Exteriores (MRE) (foto) emitiu um alerta consular para brasileiros que estão na Venezuela. Após a proclamação de Nicolás Maduro como presidente reeleito, manifestantes tomaram as ruas da capital Caracas, em meio a apelos da oposição e da comunidade internacional para que as contagens completas dos votos sejam divulgadas.
No comunicado, o Itamaraty pede que brasileiros residentes, em trânsito ou com viagem marcada para a Venezuela mantenham-se informados sobre a situação de segurança nas áreas onde se encontram e que evitem aglomerações.
“A Embaixada do Brasil, em Caracas, permanece atenta à situação das cidadãs e dos cidadãos brasileiros no país e disponibiliza, em caso de emergência envolvendo seus nacionais, o seu plantão consular, +58 414-3723337 (com WhatsApp)”, informou o Itamaraty.
Ainda de acordo com o alerta, o plantão consular geral do Ministério das Relações Exteriores pode ser contatado pelo telefone +55 (61) 98260-0610.

Após as eleições presidenciais realizadas no último domingo (28), o presidente Maduro foi anunciado pelo Conselho Nacional Eleitoral (CNE) da Venezuela vencedor do pleito e apto a exercer seu terceiro mandato, no período de 2025 a 2030.
Ele foi proclamado vitorioso, segundo o CNE, com 51,21% dos votos contra 44% de Edmundo González, o segundo colocado. O resultado foi questionado pela oposição, que cita fraude nas urnas. Ao receber o mandato, Maduro acusou um suposto golpe de Estado que estaria sendo gestado no país.
Segundo a líder oposicionista María Corina Machado, adversários do atual presidente tiveram acesso a 40% das atas eleitorais que mostrariam a vitória de González. Corina Machado pediu, então, uma medida das Forças Armadas.
Há a expectativa de que o CNE publique todas as atas com os resultados eleitorais por urna. Com isso, seria possível verificar se as atas em poder do conselho são as mesmas impressas na hora da votação e que foram distribuídas aos fiscais da oposição ou aos observadores nacionais e internacionais.
Um dia após as eleições, o governo venezuelano decidiu expulsar representantes diplomáticos da Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Peru, Panamá, República Dominicana e Uruguai, que contestaram o resultado das urnas.
