Lula decidiu tirar Prates do cargo
Lula demite Jean Paul Prates da presidência da Petrobras e indica Magda Chambriard
Chefe da maior empresa do país passou por crise que se agravou depois da decisão de reter R$ 43 bilhões em lucros extraordinários
O presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) comunicou nesta terça-feira (14) ao presidente da Petrobras, Jean Paul Prates, a demissão dele do cargo. Para o posto, será indicada a engenheira civil Magda Chambriard, que foi diretora-geral da ANP (Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural e Biocombustíveis) no governo de Dilma Rousseff (PT). O nome dela ainda precisa ser aprovado pelo Conselho de Administração da estatal, que é a maior empresa do país.
Prates enfrentou, nos últimos meses, uma crise na Petrobras, especialmente depois que o Conselho de Administração decidiu reter R$ 43 bilhões em lucros extraordinários obtidos pela empresas e não os repassar aos acionistas de imediato. Prates disse a investidores que preferia ter distribuído 50% do valor, mas foi voto vencido. No fim, ele se absteve na votação.
A decisão de não distribuir os recursos foi uma orientação do próprio governo. Na votação do Conselho de Administração sobre o tema, cinco conselheiros indicados pelo Executivo e representante dos trabalhadores foram contra a distribuição. Os quatro representantes de acionistas minoritários votaram a favor da distribuição de 100%.
No dia da decisão, as ações fecharam em queda de 10,5%, o que significou perda de valor de mercado de R$ 55 bilhões em apenas um dia. Posteriormente, em abril, a companhia decidiu pagar 50% do valor aos acionistas.
O CEO da Petrobras enfrentou nos últimos meses intensa fritura interna no governo, acumulando disputas com o ministro de Minas e Energia, Alexandre Silveira, e com o ministro da Casa Civil, Rui Costa.

Segundo nota divulgada pela empresa, Prates pediu para deixar o cargo. Ainda não há data para que o Conselho de Administração decida sobre a substituição. Leia o texto:
“A Petrobras informa que recebeu nesta noite de seu Presidente, Sr. Jean Paul Prates, solicitação de que o Conselho de Administração da Companhia se reúna para apreciar o encerramento antecipado de seu mandato como Presidente da Petrobras de forma negociada.
Adicionalmente, o Sr. Jean Paul informou que, se e uma vez aprovado o encerramento indicado, ele pretende posteriormente apresentar sua renúncia ao cargo de membro do Conselho de Administração da Petrobras. Fatos julgados relevantes serão tempestivamente divulgados ao mercado.”PUBLICIDADE

Magda Chambriard é engenheira civil formada pela UFRJ (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro), com mestrado em engenharia química pela mesma instituição. Autou como empregada pública de carreira da Petrobras por 22 anos, entre 1980 e 2002.
Foi superintendente, diretora e diretora-geral da ANP entre 2012 e 2016 e consultora em energia da FGV (Fundação Getúlio Vargas) entre 2017 e 2023. Desde então, exerce cargo de assessora na Alerj (Assembleia Legislativa do Rio de Janeiro).
