Eclipse solar amanhã só poderá ser visto em regiões remotas
No Brasil, site do Observatório Nacional mostrará fenômeno
Poucos verão com os próprios olhos, mas muitos poderão acompanhar – na página do Observatório Nacional no Youtube – o eclipse solar em regiões remotas do planeta. Será na tarde deste sábado (30).
O fenômeno só poderá ser observado por quem estiver na parte sul da América do Sul, especialmente no extremo do continente, onde o eclipse será mais intenso, abrangendo entre 40% e 54% do disco do Sol.
Segundo o Observatório Nacional, o eclipse poderá ser visto também em partes da Antártica e na parte sul dos oceanos Pacífico e Atlântico.
Este é o primeiro dos dois eclipses solares previstos para este ano – nenhum observável no Brasil. Ele terá início às 15h45 (horário de Brasília).
A retransmissão ao vivo, do Observatório Nacional, terá início um pouco mais cedo, às 15h. Nela, os amantes da astronomia terão muitas atrações, promete a astrônoma Josina Nascimento.
Além de explicar como ocorrem os eclipses, ela disponibilizará imagens de outro fenômeno solar, visto a partir de Marte. “São imagens obtidas do ponto de vista marciano, flagradas pelo rover Perseverance, que está em Marte. O vídeo mostra o momento em que a lua Fobos passou em frente ao Sol. É imperdível”, disse à Agência Brasil a astrônoma.
Lua entre o Sol e a Terra
De acordo com o Observatório Nacional, eclipses solares ocorrem quando a Lua fica entre o Sol e a Terra, projetando uma sombra sobre o planeta. A sombra mais escura, onde toda a luz solar é bloqueada, é chamada umbra. Em torno da umbra se define a sombra mais clara, a penumbra, onde a luz solar é parcialmente bloqueada.
Se o observador está na estreita faixa da Terra atingida pela umbra, ele vai ver o eclipse total. Se está na área atingida pela penumbra, verá como parcial. “E nos casos em que não há definição da umbra, como os eclipses solares de 2022, temos somente eclipse parcial”.
Em média, um eclipse total do Sol ocorre a cada 18 meses, mas por serem visíveis somente em estreita faixa sobre a Terra, parecem muito raros.
Cuidados para a observação
A observação de eclipses solares nunca deve ser feita nem a olho nu, nem com óculos escuros, chapas de Raio X ou filmes fotográficos, porque a claridade e o calor do Sol podem danificar seriamente a retina.
Uma sugestão dada por especialistas é de que interessados em fazer esse tipo de observação procurem, em lojas de ferragens ou de materiais de construção, o chamado vidro de solda. A tonalidade desse vidro deve ser, no mínimo, 14. O vidro deve ser colocado diante dos olhos para uma observação segura do Sol.
Outras retransmissões
Diante do grande interesse causado pela astronomia, o Observatório Nacional tem feito diversas lives, nas quais comenta eventuais fenômenos que estejam ocorrendo.
A retransmissão do eclipse solar não será a única deste sábado. Mais cedo, às 4h, Josina fará outra transmissão, na qual mostrará imagens e comentará a conjunção entre os dois planetas mais brilhantes: Júpiter e Vênus.
Como o fenômeno continuará pelos próximos dias, está prevista outra live, no mesmo horário, domingo (1º). “As lives sobre essa conjunção serão muito especiais porque mostrarão algo que não é visível a olho nu: a participação de Netuno nesse alinhamento”, disse ela.
“Isso será possível porque mostraremos imagens captadas a partir dos telescópios de astrônomos profissionais e amadores, parceiros do Observatório”, completou.
