Foi inaugurado, nesta terça-feira (3), o rebaixamento da Avenida João XXIII, em Teresina.
Em inauguração do rebaixamento da João XXIII, ministro Renan Filho assegura R$ 1 bilhão de investimentos para o Piauí
Novo viaduto vai facilitar o trânsito de mais de 50 mil veículos que trafegam por ali todos os dias.
Foi inaugurado, nesta terça-feira (3), o rebaixamento da Avenida João XXIII, em Teresina. Participaram do momento solene o governador Rafael Fonteles, acompanhado dos ministros Wellington Dias, do Desenvolvimento Social e Combate à Fome, e Renan Filho, dos Transportes, além de Fabricio de Oliveira Galvão, diretor-geral do Departamento Nacional de Infraestrutura de Transporte (Dnit). Na ocasião, Renan Filho assegurou R$1 bilhão em investimentos para o Piauí oriundos da pasta.
Pelo percurso, que liga a capital de uma zona a outra e a municípios do norte do Piauí, circulam, em média, 50 mil veículos por dia: cerca de 30 mil em direção a Altos e uma média de 22 mil entre as zonas leste e sudeste. O gargalo do trânsito na região antes contava com um balão e causava prejuízos históricos ao tráfego de veículos da região, com demoras e congestionamentos. Agora, com o novo viaduto, sem interrompimento do fluxo, com pista em cima e embaixo, a expectativa é que os motoristas economizem tempo ao volante. Para a construção do rebaixamento, de responsabilidade do Dnit, foram investidos R$ 46 milhões, gerando 150 empregos diretos.
O governador Rafael Fonteles destacou a importância dos investimentos públicos para desenvolver a economia. “Quero agradecer ao presidente Lula, na figura dos ministros, porque são muitas obras para entregar e iniciar. Só do Ministério dos Transportes, temos mais de R$1 bilhão em investimentos”, comemora.
O ministro Renan Filho explica que fatores como boa equipe, capacidade técnica e equilíbrio financeiro permitem entregas tão significativas, além de destacar que o PIB brasileiro cresceu 3% e que 85% das rodovias piauienses estão em boas condições. Ele anunciou, ainda, investimentos futuros.
“Temos mais três obras importantes: faremos a duplicação de 5,2 km em direção à cidade, construiremos cinco viadutos e uma nova ponte, investimento de R$150 milhões. Teremos a continuidade da duplicação de Demerval Lobão até Monsenhor Gil, com edital em setembro. Serão outros R$190 milhões. A terceira será a duplicação de Teresina até Altos, com edital em setembro, com R$ 290 milhões. No Cerrado, tem a BR-330, com obra executada pelo Governo Estadual. Todas essas obras no Piauí somam R$ 1 bilhão em investimentos”, considera Renan Filho.
Para o ministro Wellington Dias, a bancada federal tem trabalhado muito para garantir recursos e a entrega de obras. “Também destaco nossa equipe do DNIT. Foi um trabalho unido para fazer o Piauí crescer. Estradas boas e transporte público significam mais desenvolvimento, gerando emprego. O que está acontecendo é desenvolvimento social e econômico. Da Ladeira do Uruguai até a Rodoviária, vai ser toda duplicada. Com essa obra de hoje, somos uma cidade moderna e com mais qualidade de vida”, avalia.
O inspetor da da Polícia Rodoviária Federal (PRF), Adel Barbosa, explica que a obra vai melhorar o trânsito de forma significativa. “É notório que há um grande número de veículos, sobretudo no horário de pico, início da manhã, fim do dia, já que Teresina vem crescendo para essa área da capital, ou seja, vários condomínios sendo construídos, várias pessoas com moradias para essa região, com bairros como o Gurupi, e aí aumenta bastante o fluxo”, finaliza.
Sobre o rebaixamento da Avenida João XXIII
A obra do rebaixamento da Avenida João XXIII contém uma trincheira com extensão de 420 metros, com duas pistas, cada uma com 7,20 metros de largura, separadas por canteiro central e faixas de segurança com 0,50 m e acostamentos com 1,50 m. Na rótula, foram construídos dois viadutos com 20,60 m de extensão e 11,42 m de largura.
A BR-343 é uma rodovia que liga o litoral ao sul do estado, começando em Luís Correia e finalizando em Bertolínia. A rodovia passa por Teresina e proporciona o desenvolvimento do turismo, além de interligar o Piauí ao Ceará, no entroncamento com a BR-404.
